'I've learnt so much in my time here.'

KIRSTEN HICKSON initially joined the Dixons Group in November 1992 on a part-time basis in a role that enabled her to balance her work and family commitments. She now works with us full-time as a Senior Salesperson in our West Drayton store, where she's using her advanced customer service skills to drive the success of the business.

'It was obvious from the start that there's a very supportive culture here and that's very appealing. I had to relocate from Hanworth to West Drayton soon after joining for personal reasons and everyone was really helpful. I was able to start working at a new store without any problems. There's a big emphasis on building market share and maximising profit here and that gives me extra responsibilities which I really enjoy. I've learnt so much in my time here. I certainly know my way around washing machines, refrigerators, dishwashers, cookers and the like. I've also been introduced to a whole host of new hi-tech products, but my biggest challenge so far was helping to launch the new West Drayton store. I'm definitely enjoying myself here and can see myself staying for the forseeable future. You get really well looked after here and plenty of incentives to stay long-term, such as share options and great training.
