DOMINIC BEEVERS
joined the Dixons Group as a temp in February 2000, working
at the PCServiceCall (PCSC) warehouse. He took on a role at
Mastercare on a permanent basis a couple of months later,
before returning to PCSC as a Technical Consultant.
'Since I was a kid, I've always been
trying to fix broken things, make gadgets and devices or dismantle
mechanical items. PCSC seemed a great way to break into the
technology industry and work with the latest gadgets. As a
consultant, I handle customers' software and hardware queries.
I've had a lot of training - particularly on our laptop lines
- and am enjoying being part of a company that's changing
and improving all the time. It's like an animal that's evolving
before your eyes. It's an exciting place to be and I feel
I'm forever approaching the next highpoint and that's a good
feeling. I want to stay with the company and go as far as
I can. My aspirations are in management and I've already been
on a team leader secondment, so know what it's like to be
given responsibility for running a team myself.'
